7th Annual Robotics State Championship

Capping a busy season for Connecticut’s high school FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams, the Connecticut Association of Schools, in partnership with NE FIRST, hosted the seventh annual FRC High School State Championship on Saturday, May 11th, at the Connecticut State Armory in Hartford, CT. The competition provided FRC teams from the state’s high schools an opportunity to showcase the skills they’ve used to design and build their robots and participate in FRC events over the past ten weeks.

Thirty-five high school teams from across the state competed in this year’s championship. After qualification rounds, the three-team alliance comprised of the South Windsor Bobcats (Team 177), the Tech Tigers (Team 3654) from Bethany and Aces High (Team 176) from Windsor Locks and Suffield fought through the playoffs without a loss and took home the state championship! A shout-out to the many other successful FIRST teams including the Aluminum Falcons from Robert E. Fitch High School (Team 2168), the CyberKnights from Southington High School (Team 195), and NRG from Northwestern Regional High School (Team 4055)!

Congratulations to all of the teams who participated in this year’s Connecticut Robotics State Championship!
