The Connecticut Association of Schools welcomes applications from member schools for recognition for positive school climate practices.

While described in many different ways, climate is in fact embedded in almost all aspects of school life and it has long been known that positive climate is critical to achieving success for all students. Any CAS member school seeking recognition for its positive school climate practices is invited to download and complete the self-assessment instrument.

Schools that meet the initial requirements, as determined by paper screening, will receive a site visit to verify and validate the assessment. Schools selected for recognition are asked to accommodate inquiries and visitors from other schools looking to improve their school climate.

Please note that recognition for positive school climate is ongoing throughout the school year and self-assessments will be accepted at ANY TIME.
